This show explores what we have done to our planet (global warming), then moves to try and correct how we have treated (“Starting Over”) our environment, closing with the idea that we have created “A New World”. This music opens with a recorder duet using the melody of “Simple Gifts”. This can always be changed to clarinets or flutes or front ensemble. In the remaining two parts to this show, the music provides textures ranging from soloists, to instrument families (wws vs. brass), to powerful full ensemble with excerpts from Dvoraks New World Symphony. This show will combine powerful music with a powerful message for your students and audience.Inspired by the music of "Simple Gifts" by Brackett (PD), Themes from "The Seasons" by Vivaldi (PD), Themes from the "New World Symphony" by Dvorak.
